Love color but don’t want to commit to a whole room full of it? It’s all in the details. Adding hints (or a big hello!) of color to your rooms allows you to change things out easily when you’re ready for a new look. This all white bathroom was certainly perked up with bands of fuchsia, orange, and sea green fabric cleverly made into a shower curtain (click for directions). And to punch up your room even more, choose one or two of the colors and repeat it around the room. Adding fuchsia and orange accents brings it all together. Want less color? Keep the accents white or neutral and just showcase the shower curtain. Want something just as playful but without this much color? Stick to pastels or choose one or two colors that you can repeat—shades of cream, green, or blue (laid out in monochromatic fashion from light to dark) will still give you a stylish, yet less spirited bathroom. P.S. Color-blocked drapes look stunning in a dining room.
